Dr. Joshua Mugambwa
Dr. Mugambwa Joshua is the Dean of the Faculty of Leadership and Management at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Kampala, Uganda. He holds a PhD in public policy from Makerere University and has a diverse educational background, including master's degrees in governance and development, management, and postgraduate diplomas in education and management. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Industrial and Fine Art from Makerere University. In 2022, Dr. Joshua participated in the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) China project, focusing on year-long research exploring the impact of Chinese investments in Uganda. His research interests encompass public policy, leadership, children in development, sustainable development, and governance.
Judith Flavia Nakirijja
Judith Flavia Nakirijja is a PhD candidate and lecturer at the Makerere University Business School (MUBS). She holds a master of business administration from MUBS. Judith was, in 2022, part of the United States Institute of Peace's (USIP) China Project, and she researched Chinese investments in Uganda's energy sector.
Richard Mbayo
Richard Mbayo, a PhD student at the Department of Politics and International Affairs at Northern Arizona University, USA, is engaged in researching US-China relations in Africa, particularly focusing on peace, security, and foreign aid diplomacy. He holds a master's degree in China Studies from Renmin University of China.
Joel Odota
Joel Odota holds a Master of International Relations (China-focused) from the Yenching Academy of Peking University, Beijing. He is currently studying for a second master of international relations at the Australian National University. Joel’s work spans China-Africa relations and China-US relations.
